This summer was the most exciting yet here at Vicki’s Bridal Boutique as we entered our next chapter and moved into our new home, Unit 1 The Cellars, 3-5 High street, Tenterden, Kent.
Yep! That's right, we haven’t moved far, in fact just over the road. And yes the walk over with the mirror was nail-biting but more on that later!
Finding a new home has been something that has been on our Vicki’s wish list for a while. We loved the space we created at 1 East Cross, but as the business grew and so did our collections, we were slowly outgrowing our first home. But like anything in life and business, it’s all about timing and a lot of ‘what is meant to be will be’ a moto we both live by. And this summer everything aligned, and we started the move to Vicki’s next chapter.
Closing the boutique was not an option this summer, so for 3 weeks we worked on setting up the new space in between appointments, making sure our brides were still our number one priority. After some long hours, helping hands, a few tears and a lot of scrubbing paint off ourselves, we got there and on Saturday 10th August we welcomed our brides to our new home, ready to make memories.
We have made a conscious effort to make sure we kept the same vibes we created from the start, a place that welcomes our brides and allows them to make it their safe space. Though the outside might not be pink any more, don’t worry, inside we are still a sea of pink. The moment we got the keys, these walls were covered in our Vicki’s hues of pink, and you know what, it started to feel like home. Our new showroom offers us more space for our gorgeous British bridal gowns and to grow our collections. We have brought our stage with us, making sure our brides still have their moment to take centre stage and not forgetting our big mirror. Which luckily we had some helping hands to carry across the road - which was nerve ranking to say the least but did slightly resemble the Chuckle Brothers!! (if you know, you know!) We have been able to give Grandma Vicki’s dress her own pride of place for all to see, something that means so much to all our family, as she is and always will be our muse.
The Cellars have also allowed us to offer a bridal suite, giving our brides a space to unpack everything that comes with wedding dress shopping. Something that our brides so far have loved. We have also added a bridesmaid suite into the mix, which gives a fun space for the bridal squad to play dress up with our Multiway Bridesmaid Dresses. The corridor offers a designated area to display our gorgeous Veils and Accessories.
It’s safe to say that our new happy place has opened the doors to many exciting opportunities, and we can not wait to make many more memories here with each bride that walks through our doors, and hopefully we might be able to help find their dream wedding dress and sign our Vicki’s wall of fame.
