Back in June this year, the lovely Gaynor from Coombe Farm got in touch with us to see if we wanted to organise a styled shoot at her Farm, which she is opening up as a venue for 2023 couple onwards. Now to say this is a beautiful backdrop for any wedding would an understatement! We would quite like to go on holiday there, even if it is 5 minutes down the road.
So after a couple of months of planning and gathering our very talented team together, sending out mood boards and choosing which dresses we were taking, we finally reached the 3rd August, shoot day. The sun was shining, the sky blue, the sheep were very inquisitive and we were all ready to bring our vision to life.
First in was hair and make-up by Laura from @versastyleby_laura and Sarah from @makeupbysarahbennett setting up in the cabin ready to work they magic on our gorgeous models Ruby and Danielle. Whilst outside under the gorgeous willow tree, @blueskybunting were busy setting up a bridal picnic, with hums of pastel pink ready to be injected with bright summer flowers from @flowercraftworkshop. Meanwhile, in the main field where Bride and Grooms would have their marque or teepee we were getting creative with @hirelove_uk to create the perfect rustic table, with the place setting to finish the look off from @loveteadesigns. As well as creating a cosy corner with shades of green to blend into the surrounding, perfect for taking those 5 minutes to take in your big day, also a great place to display the gorgeous cake decorated with sugar flowers by @clairdelunecakedesign. And our last finishing touch was a gorgeous faux flower arch created by @cosmos_and_fern, which perfectly framed the view of the church in the distant.
With our two looks set up and looking fab, it was time for @tomjeavons to work his magic, getting all those perfect product shots for our team to use to showcase all their hard work. The loveliest thing with this shoot was that everyone was helping each other and really hands on working as a team to create the best content possible for all involved.
After a spot of lunch and small break from the rather warm sunshine, we were ready to introduce the models, Ruby and our couple models Danielle and Luke. The girls modelled a selection of our gorgeous dresses whilst @wudtenterden made sure Luke was looking damper supplying suits for us. We turned to the shepherds' hut where a couple can spend their first night as a married couple into a dressing room, which I must say was filled up quite quickly by the dresses.
The whole day was full of smiles and laughter and we were so proud to be working with all involved. And the most important thing to us was that Gaynor was happy, as she had put her faith in us to show off her beautiful venue, giving us free rein. We are pretty sure she was as she walked round all day making sure everyone was okay with the biggest smile on her face.
This was my first styled shoot as these are very much Megan’s area but I loved every minute, though I’m pretty sure Megan was quite relieved when it was all wrapped up and we were sat sharing a glass of wine with Gaynor on the cabin balcony looking out over the beautiful place Gaynor calls home.
