Real Bride Spotlight: Hollie and Naomi

This month, we are shining our Real Bride Vicki's spotlight on an extra special wedding for us - as we had the pleasure of helping both Hollie and a slightly more reluctant Naomi find their wedding outfits. Hollie came to us ready and excited to start her wedding dress shopping back in 2021 (spoilers, and she did!). We felt very honoured that after spending time with us, she talked her partner Naomi into coming to see us, telling her she would be in safe hands! So, let's hear Holly and Naomi's love story.

 How did your partner propose?

Naomi proposed as part of a photoshoot she had arranged in the Peak District because I said we didn't have enough photos of us together.  Our wonderful friend & photographer, Jess, had asked us to write something we loved about the other person on chalkboards. I wrote 'Her dancing' and Naomi wrote 'Will you marry me?'!

Oh, my goddess, that actually gave me goosebumps, what a beautiful idea! So on to the wedding...What colour/ theme did you go for?

We were inspired by nature and muted pastel tones.  We had a beautiful cake made my mum that was covered in pressed flowers that she had grown or picked herself.

That is a brave lady! One bit of advice for couples planning a wedding?

Use potted flowers and plants to decorate your venue. We were able to give some to our guests as presents (including some grown by my mother-in-law) and planted the rest in our garden. There was no waste and two years on, they continue to brighten our garden, which is a beautiful way to remember our wedding day. (I'd also say to couples to think about getting a wedding stylist. This is who organised our plants, and they did a great job!)

Love that idea!! I will be sharing that for sure!!! Shopping for your dress... Tell us about it?!

This has two parts, as we were lucky enough that both our outfits came from Vicki's Bridal Boutique.  We were both a little anxious about shopping for our outfits, but you made it a wonderful occasion for the both of us.  We waited till the wedding day to see each other's outfits, so my sisters had the responsibility of being there for both decisions!!! I was very excited to see that Naomi not only had chosen trousers that matched my dress, but they had pockets!

*Hollie wore Arizona by British Designer Kelsey Rose, with our bespoke Romy double comb veil by Tulle & Flo. Whilst Naomi wore Leigh Trouser and Sierra Top also by Kelsey Rose. Both danced the night away in the Oakley Trainers by The Perfect Bridal Company.

Your bridal party bless them were incredible keeping the secret and making sure you both complimented each other! Big shout out to them!  On to the wedding itself ... Highlight from your Big Day.

Dancing to C'est La Vie with my wife and it being captured on camera! We definitely wanted outfits we could dance in!!!

Amazing!! And last but not least... Your favourite photo from your big day - professional or moment captured by a guest.

I love the fact we had the idea to make the Pride flag with smoke, and love it even more that it worked!!!

Thank you so much Hollie for sharing, don't they both look stunning!? We wish you all the best for the future, and an amazing Happily Ever After. And thank you for becoming Vicki's Brides. 💕

Hollie and Naomi would also like to give a big shout-out to their amazing suppliers:
