With the jam packed car, loaded up on Saturday evening with a selection of our gorgeous dresses and a box full of special offers for the brides-to-be, on Sunday 1st May, we headed to Friday Street Farm for the Rustic Fair hosted by Homegurrown and Holmsted Events. This was the first fair we did last year, when we had just opened, and we fell in love with all the amazing local vendors and knew that this year we had to do it again. Held in the stunning Holmsted teepees in hidden gems of the Kent countryside surrounding Maidstone, it’s hard not to have a good day.
First thing on the day of a wedding fair is always exciting, between creating our mini Vicki’s pop up, catching up with other vendors, meeting new people and not forgetting the all important morning coffee! This year we were in great company in our teepee with Emma Hall Photography, Alex Hilder Celebrant and All You Need Weddings Styling. Our aim when putting together our stand is always to try and create the same look and feel you get from our boutique, even down to our ‘Welcome to Vicki’s doormat that comes everywhere with us!
This year the sun was shining and there was a real buzz about the upcoming wedding season among the vendors, teamed with the prospect of meeting new 2023/2024 couples. The Rustic Fair is always a great place to meet our Kelsey Rose brides, however, brides tend to be a bit nervous about coming to speak to us if their partners are with them. So if you are at a wedding fair in the coming months, don’t be afraid to come and say Hi! We don’t have to talk dresses, we can simply exchange details and, more importantly, you can take advantage of any show offers we have. We are always happy to point your partner in the direction of someone else so we can chat all things wedding dresses though!!
Madison-Grace by Kelsey Rose and Demi by Nieve Couture were a huge hit, and not forgetting our new Oakley trainers by The Perfect Bridal Company, perfect for the Rustic fair bride. We love being an able to get to know new brides-to-be and find out where they are at with their wedding planning. This year we met so many lovely brides and one of them, the lovely Alison, has even already joined the Vicki’s Family and become a Vicki’s Bride.
We had such a great day full of laughs and smiles, can’t wait to see you all again in the Autumn. Watch this space for more information. If you want to see more of ‘our day in the life of the Rustic Fair’ head over to our Instagram page for all the video’s, photos and not forgetting links to all the other wonderful vendors that were at the fair with us.
