June Recap

How is it the end of June already! Summer has well and truly begun and we have had a great start to peak wedding season here at Vicki's Bridal Boutique. So lets see what we have been up to in our June recap...

June started with a styled shoot at The Cherry Barn in Peasmarsh. Organised by Ruby the Social Coach, a team of wedding suppliers came together to showcase their work in a photoshoot. Styled shoots are always a great way to meet new people and have a chance to create content for our businesses. Megan headed to the shoot with a few of our dresses and watched the magic happen.

We received the very exciting news this month that we have been crowned WINNERS of the Muddy Stilettos Award for the "Best Bridal Store in Kent". We are over the moon and feel so grateful for the recognition on the hard work we put into the boutique. The award is public voted so it means so much to us that our brides and members of the public think we are deserving of this award. We are attending the award ceremony next month where we get to collect our award and meet fellow winners. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us. Words can not describe how much it means to us!

As a boutique we love working with local suppliers and vendors within the wedding industry. We think it is important to support fellow independent businesses especially when we all have the same passion. Weddings! Supporting local is something that is also very important to our brides and we love it when we get a joint bride with someone like a local venue or photographer.

With that being said we are super excited to announce that we are now Recommended Suppliers for The Oak Barn Frame Farm. This award winning venue is nestled in a peaceful valley below the village of Benenden. The Grade II listed barns provide a stunning setting for weddings. We have had many brides have their big day at this gorgeous venue over the last two years, so when we were contacted by Owner of The Oak Barn Deana, we were very excited to be given the opportunity to collaborate.

Our Vicki's Bride family grew some more this month as Connie, Laura and Maria all said yes to their dream wedding dress! Megan had another pinch me moment this month when another bride to join our family was actually her best friend Phoebe. Megan held a special appointment with Phoebe and her bridal party last month and when a booking came through this month for Phoebe it was a very exciting moment. The dress Phoebe chose is her in a dress, when we got this dress in for our collection Megan said "Phoebe would love this dress" and she was right. Megan will be standing next to her as bridesmaid at her wedding next year. We are so exciting for the photos!

As our family grows with brides-to-be, many of our brides are also saying 'I Do'! 10 of our brides had their dream wedding day this month. Congratulations too Alison, Lucy, Daley, Kirsty, Tia, Hannah, Rochelle, Alice, Bridie & Sophie. A part from helping brides find their dress, there is nothing love more than receiving photos from our brides on their wedding day, seeing their vision come to life. And I am sure you can all agree they all look beautiful.

July is looking like a busy month for us, we kick off the month with a Trunk Show from Sophie Rose Bridal and we are really looking forward to having this gorgeous collection in store. Vicki's Brides Get Married! Spring 2023 'I Do's'

There is nothing more exciting than seeing our brides get married in dresses we have helped them find and fall in love with. As we step from Spring and head into Summer, we want to send a huge congratulations to all our gorgeous Vicki’s Brides that got married and said ‘I Do’ this Spring 2023. We have loved seeing all the gorgeous photos from our Vicki’s Brides big day, all looking stunning in their perfect dresses and full of love. Sophie Brandon wore the beautiful Pheobe without the extra layer by Ellis Bridals. She completed her bridal look with a cathedral scatter crystal veil, a gorgeous fresh water pearl earring and necklace by IJ Avenue gifted to her by her lovely hubby Matt. All finished off with the Oakley Trainer by The Perfect Bridal Company, because who says you can't wear a trainer with an A-line dress when you get married?

Michelle Meah looked stunning in Aurora by Kelsey Rose when she got married this Spring at the Secret Garden in Ashford. She finished her look with a beautifully simple two tired Scalloped Edge Veil by Nieve Couture.

Susan Cartwright danced her day away in the gorgeous Tea-length dress Sarah by House of Mooshki for her vow renewal. With the soft apricot satin and a beautiful floral ivory lace overlay, tired together with an apricot satin bow.

Elizabeth Champ wowed in her gorgeous A-line Michelle by Nieve Couture. Her wildcard dress that took us all by surprise but 100% the perfect dress for Elizabeth.

Alison Hobbs said ‘I Do’ in the gorgeous Aurora by Kelsey Rose teamed with her Oakley Trainers from The Perfect Bridal Company. And also a Cathedral scatter crystal veil by Nieve Couture, which works so well with a Kelsey Rose dress.

Emma Salmon celebrated her big day in with a perfectly rural wedding wearing the beautiful Dakota by Kelsey Rose.

Lisa Cowen enjoyed her fun filled day with family and friends in her perfect dress, Eden by Kelsey Rose.

Aureille floated her way down the aisle in Pheobe by Ellis Bridals at the gorgeous dry hire venue Chilham Village Hall. We will never forget the pure excitement of her 'yes to the dress' moment squeal.

Sarah Fitzpatrick Twirled her way through her big day in her 1950s styled, champagne wedding dress by House of Mooshki

Lucy Llewellyn eloped to London in the slinky Rowan by Kelsey Rose

Eleanor Jones enjoyed a local wedding in her the lovely lace wedding dress Apsen by Kelsey Rose. After having been searching for a while and already brought her veil that she had fallen in love with, it was meant to be when she fell in love with Aspen who was in our sample sale was in her size and matched her beloved veil perfectly.

Claire Evans wore the gorgeous Arizona by Kelsey Rose for her wedding in the city.

Megan Cooper enjoyed her intimate wedding with her closest family and friends in the lovely Anja by Kelsey Rose. Megan had a quick turn around and planned her wedding that she had been waiting 3 years for in just 3 months!! It just goes to show if you know what you want and are decisive, you can do anything!

We couldn't be prouder of all our beautiful Vicki's Brides and I'm sure you agree that they look stunning. We encourage all our brides to embrace their own bridal style, whatever that looks like.
