So you may have seen on our social media @vickisbride that we have recently taken on the multi-way bridesmaids dresses from the lovely Jaqueline Louise Bridal. At Vicki’s we are beyond excited to start this next adventure and be able to offer you gorgeous brides another reason to visit us at the boutique. So let's talk bridesmaids dresses... here is all you need to know about what bridesmaids at Vicki's Bridal Boutique is going to look like.

Who are Jaqueline Louise Bridal?

Jaqueline Louise Bridal are a bridal boutique just like ourselves based in the Midlands. Talking to brides every day, they quickly realised, much as we have, that their lovely brides really wanted to be able to experience bridesmaid shopping with their bride tribe rather than mass ordering online but at reasonable prices. They completely understand that many of you don't want to be spending hundreds of pounds per dress for each bridesmaid. And so their beautiful Jaqueline Louise Multiway Dresses were born at a price point not to be sniffed at, ranging from £75-£125.

What have we got coming?

So we have 8 gorgeous dresses coming in 7 different colours, The Classic in Navy, Olive, Heather, Oyster, Blush Pink (Plus size); The Satin in Copper; The Tulle in Fossil (Plus size) and The Tulle Junior in Blush Pink. All of which can be ordered in standard size 6-18, Plus size or Junior. As well as having the choice of over 30 colours.

What is a Multi-way bridesmaid dress?

The multiway dresses are an amazing way of making sure that all of your bridesmaids are able to feel comfortable in what they are wearing on your big day, no matter what shape and size. Whether that be creating a sleeve or creating a more covered look, there is a wide range of possibilities.

Made for a gorgeous soft spandex fabric, that flows beautifully from the waist with plenty of pleats for the most flattering skirt shape. The extra length means they are perfect for taller bridesmaid, but the raw edge also means they are easily altered if needed.

If you can’t wait to get your bride tribe together to try these gorgeous dresses on, then head over to our website to book your bridesmaid appointment.

So whether you are planning it or it has just worked out that way, dressing a bump on your wedding day can feel a little scary! But there is no need to stress, we are here to help. If you are really stuck on what dresses you can wear to compliment your baby bump, here is our take on 'How to Dress a Baby Bump on Your Wedding Day.

Pregnant bride on her wedding day wearing a two piece by Kelsey Rose .

Now, we are strong believers here at Vicki’s Bridal Boutique that bump or not, you should pick the dress that makes you feel amazing and allows you to embrace your bridal style. So let’s have a look at different bridal styles but with that bump in mind…

Roseville by Freda Bennet, The A-line - is a great shape when it comes to dressing a baby bump, whether it be because maybe some people may not know yet or even for the simple fact it’s hard to know what size you will be by the time the wedding comes. Given the nature of most A-line wedding dresses, there is room for seamstresses to play with, teamed with us ordering bigger to allow extra room.

Lia by Kelsey Rose, The Empire Line - This is a classic wedding dress cut to go to when you have a baby bump to dress. The cut under the bust not only means it is super comfy to wear, where it sits above the bump, but also very flattering on your ever-changing body. This style of dress is also ideal when it comes to alterations.

Storm by Kelsey Rose, The Fit and Flare - Now we love a fit and flare wedding look, proudly show off that bump that your body is working so hard to grow! However, this take a little more planning. Ordering 2 sizes bigger allows plenty of room for your seamstress to play with. We do recommend trying to avoid wedding gowns with cut out work, just because this can be a little trickier to work with when it comes to alteration and you may make some compromises.

Delta Top and Jade Skirt by Kelsey Rose, The Separates - A great option for the ever-changing pregnancy body. With the flexibility of where to poison the skirt and especially with a top such as Delta by Kelsey Rose where it is not tight to the body, means it can rest nicely on the bump.

When it comes to shopping for a bump, the best piece of advice we can offer is be open-minded and own your new shape and situation. Choose a dress that makes you feel amazing in the body you are in, even if that looks slightly different you had imagined getting married in.

What is a conventional wedding? The truth is that these days there isn’t one! If there was one good thing to come out of Covid, it was a shift in mindset when it comes to weddings and what a conventional wedding looks like. More and more couple are planning a day that is what they want, whether that be shaving down the guest lists, ditching the formalities or even just eloping.

The Big White wedding our parents had is starting to look a little different and we love it. With the ability to be able to bespoke all aspects of your wedding, couples are able to put their stamp on a very special day. Whether that be choosing to use a celebrant like the lovely Georgina from The Fox Red Celebrant rather than a registrar or having food tuck vans or a mobile cocktail bars, like our faves The Thirsty Farriers , rather than a sit down wedding breakfast. Or even having all the trimmings of a traditional wedding with a very small select few. At Vicki’s Bridal Boutique, we absolutely love hearing all our brides plans and then seeing them come to life on their big day. We also have the privilege of meeting lots of different wedding vendors that allow couples to make their wedding visions come to life. Here are some of the wedding traditions that some of our brides have put their own stamp on:

Jenny & Adam ditched the wedding cake! Neither of them eat much cake and after going to many weddings where it had been left, they decided to put the money towards their amazing band instead.

Claire & James decided to leave the family politics behind and take 10 close friends up to Scotland for the weekend for their big ‘Green’ Wedding. They had all the trimmings, the cake, the wedding breakfast, the castle, the photographer and Claire had a beautiful forest green ball gown, all the traditions you would expect from a traditional wedding just shared with a select few.

Many of our Kelsey Rose gowns have been the dress of choice for an elopement from Scotland to The Seyshalls. Even if you are sneaking away to share this special just the two of you, as a bride you want to feel special, and Kelsey Rose is a great designer offering a more relaxed dress with all the special elements of a wedding dress.

Many of our brides have also chosen to have a Teepee wedding, taking all formality out of the day and giving them the ability to really go to town on all the things they want for the day and not what comes in a package.

The most important thing when it comes to deciding what you want your wedding to look like is the two of you! Decide what the two of you want from your Big Day from the size of the wedding to the small details that makes it unique to you. Have fun with it because when it comes to your wedding, there are no rules.
